NEW FAMILIES INFORMATION
Enroll at Georgetown Christian Academy
In private school, your child will be encouraged, motivated, and empowered to learn at the best level he or she has.
Public schools don’t provide the safety or Christian values you desire for your child. They are exposed to subjects, and social topics at too young of an age, and not educationally supported at the individual pace they may need.
You wonder if there is a school and environment that will foster biblical values with a quality education. You struggle with the balance of sheltering them while preparing them for the reality of life and the diversity of problems that will be thrown their way.
You are searching for more than an education, you are searching for a community to help you build the biblical foundation that will ensure your child’s development and growth well beyond elementary school. You desire for your child to be a light in the world, an example of Christ’s love.

Music, Art & Tech
Children are introduced to the love of music and Worship. Through weekly classes in Music as well as Song Service. Students are exposed to weekly ASL lessons. Art is also conducted weekly and the children display their creations throughout the year for everyone to enjoy.
Technology is a focus for our 3-5th Grade classes, as they move out into controlled used of computers and developing an understanding of how things are done such as Typing, Formatting, Coding and Internet Safety.
Service Projects
We focus heavily on giving back to the community. Our program schedules monthly services projects that the children participate in and get to feel the "mission" of sharing the love of Jesus. These are done with the help of teachers and parents as well as many great organizations that allow for our children to share what God has given them and spread joy to others.
Spanish & Advanced Math
Spanish and Advanced Math are offered as additional classes so that when they leave Georgetown Christian Academy they are well-equipped to tackle the future academic requests put upon them.
Annual Programs
Every year at Christmas the children work so hard to prepare for the annual CHRISTmas program. They are diligent in the preparations and is a joy to witness their love of the sharing about the birth of Jesus.
Agricultural
With the barn located at the back of the property GCA has a wonderful Chicken Coop where we have a large amount of chickens and two ducks that the students are helping raise.
Our barn also has a raised garden area that our children play an integral part in developing and growing.
GCA is also proud to offer Life Skills classes that focus on areas such as construction, cooking, sewing, and all things that are important outside the classroom.
Our Curriculum
For GCA grades Kindergarten through 2nd, GCA offers Abeka curriculum in all subject areas. Abeka is one of the country’s leading reading, writing and mathematics programs, and emphasizes the Christian aspect in education. Through the Abeka program, all classroom materials are connected across disciplines and allow students to engage true, biblical and fundamental learning.
In grades 3rd-5th, GCA offers a curriculum that correlates and exceeds the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Experienced elementary teachers provide instruction at a rigorous level, far surpassing the standard expectations of public school. With further emphasis on Abeka, Houghton Mifflin and Pearson curriculum assistance to guide lessons, GCA students are able to learn at an accelerated pace compared to their peers in local public schools. During students’ 5th grade year, 6th grade TEKS are introduced mid-term to prepare students for advanced placement tracks in middle school.

DAILY BIBLE LESSONS

ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS

QUARTERLY FIELD TRIPS

MAP TESTING 3X/YR
All students are taught daily Bible lessons, Christian music song service and opportunities to worship. Bi-weekly Chapel lessons also emphasize daily lessons with the love of Jesus Christ and understanding of the Bible.
Enrichment programs, also known as “Specials”, exist to expose and educate students in computer technology use and awareness, Spanish, Art, Physical Education, Music and American Sign Language. Service projects are also integrated throughout the school year where students have the opportunity to engage their local and abroad communities in demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ.
To prepare students for state educational accountability standards, GCA does implement MAP Testing three times a year in grades 3-5. Unlike STAAR testing which only tests students one time a year, MAP Testing allows students to test and then relearn concepts of struggle or enhancement. Teachers are able to utilize data to reteach difficult lessons, further enhance lesson plans, and communicate effectively with parents and students throughout the school year.

One of the most remarkable aspects of GCA is the genuine sense of community that permeates the entire school. The faculty, parents, and students are like an extended family, supporting each other and celebrating one another’s successes. This nurturing environment has allowed our child to build meaningful friendships and develop strong interpersonal skills. We have seen them become more compassionate, empathetic, and respectful of others’ perspectives… We wholeheartedly recommend Georgetown Christian Academy to any parent seeking an exceptional education that not only nurtures their child’s mind but also strengthens their spirit and character. This school truly lives up to its name, and we are forever grateful for the positive impact it has had on our child’s life.

FAQs for prospective families
HOW SOON SHOULD I APPLY FOR MY CHILD TO ATTEND THE NEXT SCHOOL YEAR?
Applications can be submitted at any time, but class size restrictions limit the number of accepted applicants in each grade level. Applying early is always a good choice.
CAN A STUDENT ENROLL DURING THE CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR?
Georgetown Christian Academy has a rolling enrollment process, meaning students may enroll at any time during the school year upon acceptance and providing there is availability in the appropriate grade level. WHAT IS THE STUDENT/TEACHER RATIO?
We prioritize small class sizes to provide a more personalized and engaging learning experience. With fewer students per class, our teachers can tailor instruction to individual needs, foster stronger student-teacher relationships, and promote active participation. This approach boosts confidence, facilitates effective classroom management, and ensures comprehensive support for diverse learning styles. Ultimately, our commitment to small classes nurtures well-rounded student development and academic success.
